Eph. 6:10-18 - Spiritual Armor; complete protection only from the Full Armor.

-- Belt of Truth - Holds the clothing together
 

* 3 Jn. 4 - Love and live truth; God's truth must hold everything in our life together.

-- Breastplate of Righteousness - Protects the vital organs
 

* 2 Cor. 5:21; Eph. 4:24 - Know and trust imparted righteousness of God (your standing).

Standing is settled for eternity, but state (walk) changes as we yield to the Spirit and obey the Word. 

* Eph. 1:6 - Know you are accepted in the Beloved, don't listen to accusations but to the finished work of Christ that gives you a certain future that cannot be lost or thrown away!

-- Shoes of Peace - If you lose your footing, you may lose the battle!  Be prepared. 
 

* 1 Cor. 15:3-5 - We stand because of the sure gospel.

* Rom. 5:1,2 - Wherever we walk, we stand on victory ground. 

-- Shield of Faith - Trust God's promises, Lay Hold of His Word.

* vs 16 - Stop the fiery darts (doubts, fears, worries).  We cannot stop the darts, but we can keep them from starting a fire. 

* Quench immediately or anger, impatience, and doubt will hit you.  Use the shield.

-- Helmet of Salvation

* Ps. 43:5 - Hope in God when in depths of doubt.  Discouragement is deadly. 

* 2 Tim. 4:8 - Encourage yourself with the hope God promises.  He does not lie.

-- Sword of the Spirit - The only Offensive Weapon

* Heb. 4:12 - His sWord stays sharp, His Spirit enables us to use it effectively.  "It is written." 

*** PUT IT ON - Eph. 6:18  By prayer, vigilance, and perseverance. 

* We put on the armor by Prayer, and Pray by means of the Holy Spirit. 

* Luke 18:1 - Pray and don't give up!           * 1 Thess. 5:17 - Don't stop praying.

* Phil. 4:6 - Balanced prayer = A.C.T.S.

* Mark 13:33, 14:38 - Spirit Empowered and Watchful. 

Stand up, stand up for Jesus,

Stand in His strength alone;

The arm of flesh will fail you --

Ye dare not trust your own.

Put on the gospel armor,

Each piece put on with prayer;

Where duty calls, or danger,

Be never wanting there.
