- Satan teaches doctrines that forbid marriage.

* 1 Tim. 4:1-3 - Satan wants us to think marriage is sinful!

* Mat. 19:12 - "For there are eunuchs who were born thus from their mother’s womb, and there are eunuchs who were made eunuchs by men, and there are eunuchs who have made themselves eunuchs for the kingdom of heaven’s sake. He who is able to accept it, let him accept it.”  - Singleness is an OPTION; marriage is God's will for MOST people.

* 1 Cor. 7:7 - A calling to celibacy is not a commandment for all.  Not a lure for greater spiritual virtues and blessings than if you were married.  Just a calling for a focused life. 

- Satan seeks to reverse the headship in homes.

* 1 Tim. 2:11-13; Eph. 5:22, 23 - Headship is NOT dictatorship; it is leadership in love.

* Gal. 3:28 - Man and woman are made of the same source, and are one in Christ. Subjection is NOT subjugation. 

- He wants to lead husbands and wives into moral impurity.

* 1 Cor. 7:1-5 - Give sex its place, but not to use as a weapon or leverage, but as a tool to build up a couple.  This keeps temptations at bay. 

- He gets the wife too busy outside the home.

* 1 Tim. 5:14,15 - Christian wife should find fulfillment and joy in the home; when outside the home is more inviting and exciting than inside the home, that gives Satan opportunities to work to destroy that home by temptations, distractions, and makes the husband's spiritual leadership ineffective. 

* Home needs same spiritual defenses as the individual:
 

            1. Inspired Word of God

            2. Imparted Grace of God

            3. Indwelling Spirit of God

            4. Interceding Son of God
